Infold Games Deletes New Boyfriend Character After Fan Backlash Turns Sour

What started as excitement for a fresh romance option in Love and Deepspace has ended in disappointment and anger. Infold Games, the developer behind the popular mobile dating sim, has confirmed that the newly introduced character Valko will be removed from the game entirely. Not only is he being pulled from the current update, but the company stated he will never return.

The decision came after a wave of negative feedback from players who felt Valko's design and storyline did not fit the established tone of the game. Many fans complained that his personality felt rushed and his interactions lacked the depth seen in other love interests. Some even accused the developers of recycling old assets and slapping a new name on them.

What began as mild criticism quickly escalated into organized campaigns across social media. Players demanded a full removal, not just a rework. Infold initially tried to address concerns with promises of future adjustments, but the backlash only grew louder. In a brief statement, the studio announced that Valko would be deleted from the game files in the next patch.

The move has sparked a new wave of debate. Some players are celebrating the decision, saying it shows the developer listens to its community. Others argue that deleting a character entirely sets a bad precedent and wastes the work of the artists and writers involved. A few fans who actually liked Valko feel betrayed, claiming the vocal minority ruined their chance to enjoy a new romance.

As of now, Infold has not announced any replacement character or compensation for players who spent in-game currency on Valko-related content. The incident highlights how quickly love can turn to hate in the world of mobile gacha games, where player attachment to virtual partners is both deep and demanding.
