Lego 2K Drive Disappears From Stores Just Three Years After Launch

Lego 2K Drive Disappears From Stores Just Three Years After Launch

Fans of Lego 2K Drive have just four days left to buy the game before it is pulled from all digital storefronts. The delisting comes exactly three years to the day after the game first launched, marking an unusually short commercial lifespan for a full-priced title from a major publisher.

The open-world racing game, developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K, launched in May 2023 across PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. It offered a blend of traditional Lego building mechanics with arcade-style driving, letting players construct their own vehicles and race through themed worlds. Despite positive early reviews, the game struggled to maintain a large player base after its initial release window.

2K has not given a detailed public explanation for the removal. However, licensed games often face delisting when publishing agreements expire. Lego 2K Drive likely operated under a limited licensing deal between 2K and the Lego Group, and that contract has now run its course. Once the game is removed, players who already own it will still be able to download and play it, but new buyers will lose the chance to purchase it permanently.

The delisting affects all digital versions of the game, including the standard edition and any special bundles. Physical copies may still be available at some retailers while stock lasts, but those will also become harder to find over time. For anyone still on the fence, the window to grab a digital copy is closing fast.
