In a recent interview with GameSpot, actor Debra Wilson, known for her roles in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, and God of War Ragnarok, spoke about her discomfort with how her likeness has been used in games. She said she has grown tired of seeing her own face show up in titles and would rather play characters that do not look like her. The developers make that call, she explained, and she has little say in it.
Wilson also recalled a specific moment during production of the Wolverine game. According to her account, the team wanted to scan her tattoos so they could appear on the in-game character. That request is where she drew the line. She described it as pushing things too far and made clear she was not comfortable with that level of replication.
Her comments touch on a wider conversation about performance capture and how closely studios map an actor's real appearance onto digital characters. For Wilson, the issue is not the work itself but the assumption that every physical detail is fair game. She wants room to disappear into a role rather than see a version of herself reproduced on screen.
