Youth Pokémon Club Offers Free Training Sessions in Hamlin

October 12, 2026 - 10:10

Young Pokémon trainers in Hamlin have a new opportunity to sharpen their battle skills and connect with others who share their interest in the popular franchise. A free training club is set to meet on Oct. 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Step By Step, a Lincoln County Family Support Center located at 328 Walnut St.

The event welcomes youth who want to learn more about Pokémon battling, trading, and strategy in a friendly and supervised environment. Whether participants are just starting their journey or have been collecting and training for years, the club aims to provide a space where they can grow their abilities and enjoy the game with peers.

Organizers say the club is designed to be accessible to everyone, with no cost to join and no prior experience required. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cards or games if they have them, though sharing and borrowing will be part of the experience.

The gathering also gives young people a chance to build social connections and practice teamwork through friendly matches and discussions. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay and observe.

For those interested in joining, the session begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. and runs for one hour. The center encourages early arrival to get settled before activities begin.
